mbak wina

On Wednesday, I had a lunch date with Kak Sita and Mbak Wina. Thank God we cancelled our date on Tuesday evening since Mbak Wina finished her meeting with the Embassy’s staff later than we’ve predicted. The Japanese government is going to build memorial statues in several places in Aceh, and they invite her in realising that project. It is not surprising since she has been closely connected to Japanese government from years back. That day, she was looking good and fairer than I’ve remembered. The three of us talked about our alumnae organisation and what we’ve missed these past few years. How we used to stay up late in Cibubur and back to Jakarta the next morning and sleeping at the office when we supposed to be working! Teased Mas Teguh, Mbak Nita, Mas Hardi, Mas Adi, and Mbak Fardal by phoning them and said that we had a lunch date. And few hot gossips. It was fun, and I went to Glodok with Mbak Wina to buy DVDs (again), Indonesian VCDs, and MP3 songs CDs. And just because Mbak Wina is Mbak Wina, she didn’t forget to bring her camera and took some pictures (human interest) as we jammed the city. Mbak Wina has been in Japan for six (can you believe that!) years and going to finish her doctor degree this coming March. Ganbate ne!
