my tickets

here are our tickets to the Java Jazz Festival of 6 to 8 March 2009. it was a hard work just to redeem these tickets, and i really mean it when i said hard. i was at the ticket redeem centre (i.e. a booth with a dozen assistants) at lower level of Sultan Hotel around 11 on the first day (i.e. 2 March), and the queue (only) almost reached the entrance of the Lagoon Café. while i was standing there, more people came and when i took a look it reached the corner of the pathway to the tunnel. the committee was working on the queue line and at 11.30 i reached the booth desk. wasn’t really a hustle if we have the requested identification such as credit card and id card. the problem was, it wasn’t an online thing when they were checking the e-voucher. it was a manual labour and they sorted bundles of envelopes with tickets on it. since i made my online orders twice, they should provide 2 envelopes. easy to find the first one, but for the second one, it took them almost half an hour. eventually they couldn’t find it so they decided to give me the extra tickets that weren’t on the envelopes. i can say it was a 45 minutes queuing. but so sorry to hear that some of the queue had to wait for more than two hours (and standing) for the tickets.

• this ticket is valid for only one person
• the committee shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to the tickets
• prohibited items include firearms, sharp objects, umbrellas, explosives of any kind, alcoholic beverages, and drugs
• any video cameras are not allowed to be brought in to the venue
• outside food and beverage are not allowed to be brought in to the venue
• no lockers provided at the venue
• the committee shall not be liable for any cancellation due to government policy
• torn ticket is not a valid entrance ticket
• tickets that have already been purchased are not refundable
• show schedules are subject to change without prior notice
• special show ticket needs a daily ticket or 3-day pass ticket
• for technical and security reasons, the audiences shall leave the venue of one show after it is over
